This is my 14th year of teaching and my 8th year at Arlington. It has been a big learning experience going from teaching elementary students in Texas to teaching high school students. I have found though that no matter what the age, it's still awesome to see students begin to catch on to an idea and want to keep learning.
Six years ago, I started coaching other teachers throughout the building here at AHS on how to use reading strategies in their content area classes. The teachers at Arlington have been great when it comes to learning and trying new strategies to help their students with reading in their classes.
Currently, I teach three reading classes, am the Title I Lead and the AHS Building Reading Coach.
