Special Education Department
Serving Students With Special Needs At Arlington High School

The mission of the Special Education Department is to provide assistance and support to students, parents, caregivers, teachers, support staff, and all concerned parties to assure the success of our students in the achievement of their academic, social, and transition needs.

The Special Education Department at Arlington High School provides services to a diverse population of differently abled students.  Our department is currently organized around the following disability classifications: 

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD)

Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)

Emotional or Disorder (EBD)

 Specific Learning Disability (SLD)

     LD3

     LD4

Speech/Language Impairment (SLI)

While the above classifications are the most customary in our service delivery we may also provide services to students that qualify for services in the following classifications:

Other Health Impairment (OHI)

Physical Impairment (PI)

Severely Multiply Impaired (SMI)

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Visual Impairment (VI)

504 Accommodation Plan (504)

Additionally, the following resources are actively involve in the assessment and delivery of support services to help insure our student's success.
