Sue Otto, School Social Worker
Greetings!  Thank you for checking out my site.

I am one of two school social workers at AHS. I have been at Arlington since it's first year, and am proud to be a part of it's over 10 year period of growth and  development.  I have been a social worker with the SPPS for over 30 years, Actually, I am celebrating my 37th year of being a SPPS employee. As a  SPPS  graduate myself,  I have a  big heart for this district  and the families that we serve.

My current assignment is to work  half of my time with special education students and the other half with the general education population. I am aligned with the Bio-Health & Science pathway, but am available to all students.

As school social worker at AHS, I provide services to students with various issues that are interferring with their learning.  These may include concerns with mental health, truancy, family crisis or concerns, social, behavior and motivation, Referrals may come from student self referrals, parents, administrators, teachers or community resources that are involved. I also am the contact for the Title I Homeless Program serving students who qualify for that program's services. Students who are in special education have specific goals that guide the service I provide to them.

You can reach me directly at the telephone number listed, and welcome calls from parents who need guidance, support or referrals to outside agencies. I can be reached directly at 487-7310.
